Assistant Women's Basketball Coach | Megan GreenAssistant Women's Basketball Coach | Megan Green

Green, comes to Dickinson after spending the last three seasons as the top assistant to Deena Applebury at her alma mater The University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. While at UMW the Eagles posted a record of 35-18 playing the 14th-hardest schedule in Division III. During this past year, the team went 18-9 with seven of the setbacks coming to regionally-ranked opponents, while three of the teams were the top-ranked team in the nation. In addition to helping out on the floor during games, pre-game scouts, and practices, Green was responsible for all areas of recruiting including organizing campus visits, first evaluations, letter writing, and calling among other items. Green was also leaned on heavily off the court as she created weekly academic check-ins with first-years and scheduled academic workshops with every player about how to better navigate the college lifestyle.

Prior to her time with UMW she served as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Castleton University in Castleton, Vermont where she learned all the aspects of running a successful Division III program. During her tenure in Vermont, she aided the Spartans in amassing a 35-17 record, while earning her Master's Degree in Athletic Leadership.

Green talked about joining Red Devil Nation "I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the women's basketball program at Dickinson. I believe that the Centennial Conference fosters dynamic student-athletes and the chance to work with Coach Diop and her competitive and driven group of young women is going to be an awe-inspiring experience for me." She further added "I feel honored to be in this new position and grow under Coach Diop's leadership. From the moment we started talking in the Kline Center I could feel her passion for the sport and the vision she has to let me hit the ground running immediately and I cannot wait. Go Red Devils!"

Coach Diop echoed her excitement about adding Green to her staff saying "I am really excited to have Megan as our first full-time assistant. Her playing and coaching experience is the missing piece as we look to continue to grow a solid program here at Dickinson."

Green officially began her position with the Devils on July 1, 2022.
